The objective of the research is to develop a model of how pH factors (such as medium components, residual lime, water alkalinity, pre-plant nutrient charges, fertilizer, and leaching fractions) affect media pH. The pH model will be an interactive training tool for growers and industry that integrates the quantitative relationships between pH factors based on new and existing research.
